Happy Birthday Card

Happy Memorial Day friends. I hope you bowed your head in prayer to start your day to remember all of the fallen soldiers and service men and women and your personal loved ones too. I have lost so many it really makes me sad to miss my relatives and Mike too. I was thinking of him today as I looked out to see the empty bird feeders. He was my bird man. God pulls me through these tough times though. It has been the crappiest weekend so far for this long weekend where a lot of people were going camping. I have sox and a sweatshirt on and I broke down and turned the heat back on. GRRRR! This ole gal is dang cold. I was hoping for sunshine today. Oh well, I have been cleaning and boiling eggs to make egg salad and I realized I don't have any bacon so I won't be making it today I guess.

Can you tell I got my battery for my camera? Yes I drove to town and got one. So here is a card I made the other day using a couple of the new In Colors. I don't have a special technique for you and I think I will save those for my newsletter anyway. It really was an easy card to make from a current set Just Believe that will be in the next catalog. Ha, yes just believe! I like that. Just believe that you can do anything if you put your heart and soul into it. I never thought I would be in this business with SU for this long but I have been and do put my heart and sole into it. I love what I do. You can too.

Here are the details:
Stamp Sets: Just Believe, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Card Stock: Gumball Green, Marina Mist, Melon Mambo, So Saffron, Midnight Muse, Whisper White
Inks: Gumball Green, Melon Mambo, So Saffron, Midnight Muse
Accessories: Big Shot, Bitty Banners Framelits, Petals-A-Plenty Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Scallop Square Punch,  1-1/4" Circle Punch, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals.
Have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by today. Now I hope you have time to create something cute and remember tonight The Bachelorette is on. I wonder who will get kicked off tonight?  AHHH, the sun is coming out finally. Hallelujah! Thank the Lord! Have a good day. Hugs, Bev

Thank You card

TGIF stamping friends. I hope you all have a great holiday weekend and let us keep those fond memories of loved ones in a special place in our hearts. I wanted to go tent camping this weekend but it is supposed to be cold and wet so I decided to go to work tomorrow instead. I didn't have anyone to go camping with anyway. I hope you have some great plans for your long weekend. I want to apologize for not posting anything for a couple of days. I have been tired so came home last night and checked my email and went to lay down and slept all night practically. My life is stressful right now with a lot of stuff going on at work and other things.

This was my swap card for my meeting and I used the new stamp set Papaya Collage and a new Hostess Set Wacky Words plus the new Apothecary Accents Framelits Dies. I sort of tried to make this look like a window with the view of the leaves out the window.  I stamped the image in two greens and then popped up the piece of Wild Wasabi Card Stock with Dimensionals. I wanted to show you the rest of the cards but the battery is dead in my camera. Yes, I am not surprised as it is the way my life is going these days. I found out a squirrel chewed through the wiring on my car and that is what is wrong with it. I tell you I think I will move back to city where I can have a garage.

Here are the details:
Stamp Sets: Papaya Collage, Wacky Wishes
Card Stock: Naturals Ivory, Wild Wasabi
Inks: Wild Wasabi, Lucky Limeade
Accessories: Big Shot, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Lucky Limeade Bakers Twine, Sponge, Dimensionals.
I hope to get a battery tomorrow so I can show you the rest of the swaps from my down line meeting. We also did a Make and Take so will show you that to when I can get a picture of it. Have a great weekend and June 1st will be here before we know it when the new catalog starts. YAY! I can't wait. Thanks for stopping by today.
Hugs, Bev

Male Heaven Knows Your'e Special Card

Happy Well Worn Wednesday to you all. LOL! I hope your week is going great. I slept in a bit this morning and woke up to a windy day. I went out and mailed a card for my sister's anniversary and picked up some sticks and branches that fell. We got rain last night so I don't have to water the garden. YAY! Then I grabbed the garlic juice to spray on my garden plants to keep deer and varmints off so they won't demolish my hard work. My meeting went good last night and I will share the swap cards with you soon. We did a darling Make and Take too which is so cute. I just love my down line and we just had a nice relaxing night with eats and stamping and friendship. Ain't life grand? Yes it is. I am so blessed to have an active down line. Before they came over I went to pick some lilacs and they made the house smell so good.

On this card I am showing you a new stamp set called Layered Labels and a framelits die called Apothecary Accents Framelits that matches the stamps in the set. OMG you are so going to want to buy all that new stuff. The new Big Shot dies, framelits and texture folders are so incredible. I mean INCREDIBLE! I punched out 1 inch circles out of the Well Worn DSP and card stock. That DSP will be discontinued before the new catalog comes out and it is so perfect for male cards. You have 8 more days to buy anything from the old catalog. On this stamp it says Heartfelt but I stamped over it with the Heaven Knows you're special (I know it too) stamp in Cajun Craze ink and card stock to make a banner to go over the Heartfelt word. This is a card I made for my guy friends that loaned me their vehicle while mine was in the shop. Which by the way is still in the dang shop. GRRRRR! I have a Rhubarb cake baking for them now so I wanted to get this card done and give it to them with the cake.

Here are the details for the card:
Stamp Sets: Blessings from Heaven, Layered Labels
Card Stock: Cajun Craze, River Rock, Not Quite Navy, Well Worn DSP
Inks: Cajun Craze
Accessories: Big Shot, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Houndstooth Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, 1" Circle Punch, Paper Piecing Tool and Mat Pack, Regals Brads, Dimensionals. This is really a pretty easy card. I hope you have a great day and will have time to create something cute. Bless you for stopping by my blog and remember to leave me a comment and contact me if you have any questions.
Hugs, Bev

Need For Speed Birthday Card

Good morning stamping friends. Sorry I didn't post anything yesterday but I had a busy busy day and stressful too. I don't have my car back so my good friend Bonnie picked me up from work to bring me home. I went out to pick some rhubarb for the cake I baked this morning for my down line meeting tonight. I called my friends Keith and Al and asked them if they liked rhubarb so I will have to bake for them because they did the nicest thing for me. They brought me over a vehicle to use while mine is in the shop. SOOO nice! Then yesterday my friend Staci was told by here husband again that he wanted a divorce so that stress was going on and she left which made us busier at work. Then of course the Batchelorette was on last night and had to watch that. She gave roses to Ryan and Jeff before the rose ceremony and send Joe home which didn't surprise me as I thought he was boring. We will see who lasts for next week. I think I passed out in bed pretty early last night.

This card I am showing you was a swap card I received at Convention I believe so if it is yours please tell me because I don't know who's it is but I didn't stamp it. I just didn't have time to stamp so I am showing you this darling card using Need For Speed which will be in the new Annual Catalog or AC for future use.
The car was embossed on whisper white card stock with Black Embossing Powder and then sponged around with Basic Gray and Cherry Cobbler ink. I thought is was a great guys card. The Jumbo Brads will be discontinued May 31st.

Here are the supplies for the card:
Stamp Sets: Need For Speed, On Your Birthday
Card Stock: Basic Gray, Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, Whisper White, Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack
Inks: Versamark, Cherry Cobbler, Basic Gray
Accessories: Basic Black Embossing Powder, Sponge, Jumbo Brads
so I better get busy finishing my swap cards and make my casserole and clean my house. I hope you like this card and again if it is yours make sure to get a hold of me so I can give you credit. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I hope you have time to create something cute and hope you have a blessed day. Hugs, Bev

Make your dad happy Happy Father's Day

Good morning stamping friends and YAY,this is the blessed day of the Lord. "I say this because I know what I am planning for you, says the Lord. "I have good plans for you, not plans to hurt you. I will give you hope and a good future." Jeremiah  29:11. This bible passage is just what I needed to read today. Yesterday I started my car to go to work and my dashboard lights up with this light that says "Limited Power Supply" and I just say the four letter "S" word. WHY ME LORD? I finally drive away but very slowly.  I could only go 5 miles an hour so I called my friend at work where I was heading to and told her I would probably be there by Monday at the rate I was going. LOL! At least I could laugh at it. I told her I would see how it went. Now keep in mind this is a Saturday morning at 6:15 AM. Not too many people up and I am out in the country 6 miles from town. So I get about 1/4 mile down my road and it never goes faster. I am thinking crap it is Grygla graduation day and Jann and I are the only ones working and I knew she had to blow up about 130 balloons for all the graduates. I cannot not go to work today so I called her back and she put a sign on the store door that she would be back and came to pick me up. My car still sits on the road today so I have no way to church. GRRRRR. Still sitting here unshowered in my jammies. I did text my mechanic friend and he will help me get it to the service station so it can get worked on and now to find a ride to work tomorrow will be my next cross to bear. Some days I have to wonder. All least I am healthy, I think. Then when I got home my youngest sister called me and I was talking on the phone looking out the window I saw an Indigo Bunting on my bird feeder. So beautiful. Now I thought to myself, yes God is always here and we all have our crosses to bear. I just have a lot of them lately.

This week I am going to try to share some cards with you for Father's day. This card is using the Tool Shed background stamp and I used the new Apothecary Accents Framelits Die from the upcoming Annual Catalog. Isn't it a cool shape? I love it. This was a quick card to make too. A couple of my Mr Big Shot items and BAM there you have it. Easy peasey!

Here are the details for my card:
Stamp Sets: Tool Shed, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Card Stock: Crumb Cake, Soft Suede
Ink: Soft Suede
Accessories: Big Shot, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Houndstooth Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Modern Label Punch, Soft Suede Taffeta Ribbon, Neutrals Brads.

Bride To Be Card

TGIF stamping friends, are you as happy as I am that it is Friday? I had to make a quick card for my nephew's fiance' this morning before work. I waited till the last minute to get it ready and the shower is tomorrow but I am not going to make it. It is in Iowa and I am in Minnesota and I have to work tomorrow since it is Graduation here at the high school as I have to work. I felt bad that I missed it and now my card will be late. Darn it Ha you know what, I wonder if I even signed the darn card. OH BOY am I a goofball.I better call my sister. Reed deserves so much better than that. I sent it to my sister's house as that is where the shower is going to be. I used an old old set that I kept that was called Big on Spring. This was a set that I couldn't get rid of. You know those kind of sets. They are like a forever friend or an old pair of shoes that you can't get rid of. LOL!

I used the new In Colors as her colors are Navy and some other but I made it the same as her invite with Midnight Muse and Summer Starfruit. I love those new In Colors. I stamped the swirly stamp in the set Wedding Sweet with Midnight Muse ink and then used the Manhattan Flower die to texture the background a bit. Oh, how I am anxious for the new catalog, aren't you? 13 days but who is counting? LOL! It got really hot here today and I am hoping for rain but I need to go check the forecast as I have to go water the garden if it won't rain. So much to do and so little time.

Here are the details for my card:
Stamp Sets: Big On Spring, Wedding Sweet
Card Stock: Midnight Muse,Summer Starfruit, Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry
Inks: Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit Marker
Accessories: Big Shot, Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, Itty Bitty Punch Pack, Basic Pearls, Mini Glue Dots.
I hope you like my card today and thank you for stopping by.  Have a great weekend and next week I think I will start showing you some ideas for Father's day cards. I better check the weather and maybe have to get outside. Hugs, Bev

Hello Card

Hi stamping friends, I wanted to share this bright  and fun Hello card I received from my down line Bonnie Stanley. She gave it to me this morning on my trip to town to get some groceries. It is a great sunny day but windy so not so sure I should spray today but I might later. I am sort of sleepy from driving to the big town. I only had one cup of coffee so maybe I will take a nap and then go spray the grass and weeds in my garden. On my way home I was listening to the news and I heard Disco Donna Summers died at the age of 63 from Cancer. That made me sad.

This card is using the hostess Posy Punch set. I love this card and it was so sweet of  Bonnie to give this to me and inside she stamped the A Best Friend is someone who brings out the best  in you from Full Of Life that is being retired and then she thanked me for bringing out the best in her. Isn't that just so sweet. This is using then In Colors that are not going to be retired. Only 13 more days till the new catalog.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have time to create something cute. Have a blessed day.
Prayers and hugs, Bev
